Dr. Ben Thomas grew up in Macalester-Groveland. His family ran Thomas Liquors on Grand Avenue. He joined this practice in 2016 and bought it in 2021, and he now takes care of the same neighborhood that raised him.
That’s most of what you need to know about how Saint City Dental operates. We’re a short drive from Highland Village, Grand Avenue, and the river bluffs, and the families we see tend to stay for decades.

A first visit can be a ride in the chair, watching a sibling, or sitting on a parent’s lap. Whatever they’re up for that day is what we do. There’s a kids’ area with toys, books, prizes, and a TV.
Nervous adults get time, not a lecture
Plenty of our patients had a bad experience as kids and have been avoiding this ever since. We don’t scold. Blankets, pillows, and nitrous oxide are available, and so is simply going slower.
You leave knowing what's going on
Every visit ends with one-on-one time with your dentist and a plan you understand. You’ll hear what we found, what needs doing now, and what can wait.

1600 7th St W, on the West 7th corridor. From Highland Park or Mac-Groveland, it's a few minutes by car, with on-site parking. Closer than most people expect, given they've driven past it for years.

How young can my child be for a first visit?
Bring them early and keep it easy. The point isn't a thorough cleaning. It's that your child leaves willing to come back. Our dentists will meet them wherever they are that day.

Ask when you call. Getting a household seen in one trip is usually the difference between going and putting it off again.
